We are deeply saddened and appalled by the senseless acts of violence against the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community in the United States. Sadly, this only highlights the prevalence of racism and xenophobia that exists in our country. Violence is a product of systemic inequity, making some individuals and communities more vulnerable than others. AAPI women specifically have historically been more vulnerable to bigotry and violence.
Monarch Services is committed to supporting AAPI survivors of domestic and sexual violence. We are also committed to building meaningful community relationships through our prevention, partnerships and outreach programs so that we can end all forms of violence. We sincerely hope to be a space for community healing today and every day.
We stand with our AAPI community in condemning all forms of violence. To learn more about how you can be part of the solution, click here.
